Questions & Answers

What is PostuSack?
PostuSack is a backpack being developed with an integrated support and strapping system designed to help distribute and stabilize the load. It’s all in the strapping.

How is PostuSack different from an ordinary backpack?
PostuSack changes how the straps connect and work with the backpack. Its distinctive support system is designed to keep the bag close to the body and provide a stable fit.

Is the support a separate brace?
No. The support is integrated into the backpack and works with its strapping as one system.

Does PostuSack use a chest or waist strap?
The current design does not use a conventional chest or waist strap. Its integrated strapping provides an alternative approach to stabilizing the backpack. Future PostuSack tactical designs will include chest straps for additional stability during more demanding activities.

How does the strapping system work?
The straps follow a shaped path over the shoulders and return beneath the arms, connecting with the backpack. This arrangement is designed to help manage the load while keeping the bag close to the body.

Who is PostuSack designed for?
Our first model is being developed for students. Other applications are being explored, with sizing and suitability to be confirmed through prototype development and testing.

Has PostuSack been tested?
Early handmade and paper prototypes have helped us explore fit and strap positioning. A sewn functional prototype is the next step for evaluating comfort, stability and performance under load. Formal performance results are not yet available.

Have physical therapists contributed to the design?
Yes. Two physical therapists have provided input during development. Their involvement helps guide the questions we explore; it does not represent independent clinical validation.

Is PostuSack a medical device?
PostuSack is being developed as an everyday backpack. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent a medical condition.

What stage of development is PostuSack in?
PostuSack is currently in prototype development. We are working with potential manufacturing partners to turn the design into a sewn sample for evaluation and refinement.

Are the images photographs of the finished product?
Some images show early prototypes, while others are concept illustrations or AI-assisted visualizations. The final materials, appearance and construction may change during development.

When will PostuSack be available?
A release date has not yet been confirmed. We will share updates as prototype development, testing and manufacturing plans progress.

Is the design protected?
PostuSack is patent pending.
